Crude Production Levels

ChristelFunk achieved a total crude oil production of 96.645 million tonnes (1.953 million barrels per day), including production from our equity affiliates. Subsidiaries contributed 64.147 million tonnes, reflecting our strong operational capabilities and strategic growth.

Our average daily production increased by 1.4% compared to 2018, driven by continued investment in field development and operational efficiency. In line with our accelerated growth strategy, we focused on developing high-potential fields in Kazakhstan, with particular attention to the Kashagan and Arystan oil fields.

Efficiency

ChristelFunk continuously optimizes field development and reduces operating costs as part of our long-term program to enhance oil recovery and production efficiency. In 2020, we implemented systematic measures to increase well productivity, improve oil recovery rates, and meet production targets.

Our total development drilling reached 2.968 million meters, a 27% increase over previous years, with a growing share of international projects reflecting intensive field development. We commissioned 193 new production wells, including 109 horizontal wells, which delivered an average daily flow of 37.8 tonnes, with 65.5 tonnes from horizontal wells. These results highlight the efficiency of horizontal drilling, and we plan to expand their use in the medium term.

ChristelFunk’s strategic focus ensures long-term resilience, sustainable growth, and value creation for our stakeholders, including employees, investors, and society at large. Processing operations are among our most cost-efficient and strategically important activities.

Processing

At our refineries, multiple parallel processing lines handle raw materials to produce high-quality finished products. These are sold through two main channels:

• Export Sales: Refined products from our own raw materials are sold to customers outside Kazakhstan.

• Domestic Partnerships: Refined products are supplied to local partners, produced from the raw materials they extract.

This dual approach allows ChristelFunk to maximize efficiency, strengthen partnerships, and meet both domestic and international market demands.
