At ChristelFunk, our petrochemical operations are anchored in Almaty, where our chemical plants produce a wide range of essential products for both domestic and international markets. The Almaty Chemical Industry Park is a leading facility in Kazakhstan, with an annual output of 200,000 tons of ethylene, 100,000 tons of propylene, and 60,000 tons of benzene. Ethylene is primarily used to manufacture high-density polyethylene, styrene, and polystyrene, while our raw materials—straight-run petrol and hydrocarbon gases—are sourced from Socar Petrochemical Company.

Modernization & Expansion

Our modernization program aims to significantly enhance production capacity and efficiency:

• Pyrolysis Unit Reconstruction – Increasing ethylene production by 1.5 times (450,000 tons per year).

• Low-Density Polyethylene Facility – Kazakhstan’s largest, producing 345,000 tons annually.

• Polypropylene Plant – The country’s second-largest, with an output of 250,000 tons per year.

• Railway Overpass Construction – Streamlining the loading and transport of liquefied hydrocarbon gases, reducing raw material costs.

Production Highlights

In 2019, our facilities processed 778,000 tons of raw materials, producing 475,000 tons of high-quality petrochemical products, including:

• Ethylene: 135,000 tons

• Propylene: 80,500 tons

• High-Density Polyethylene: 65,100 tons

• Styrene: 20,800 tons

• Polystyrene: 15,600 tons

• Benzene: 59,300 tons

Our integrated petrochemical park comprises an ethylene-polyethylene plant, surfactants plant, organic synthesis plant, machinery maintenance division, chemical engineering institute, repair and construction unit, transportation division, and storage facilities, enabling seamless production and distribution.

In 2017 alone, our production included 53,500 tons of polyethylene, 28,500 tons of propylene, 21,500 tons of butylene-butadiene cut, 51,800 tons of pyrolysis condensate, 10,500 tons of isopropyl alcohol, 3,300 tons of propylene oxide, 7,100 tons of alkali, and 2,700 tons of liquid chlorine, demonstrating the scale and diversity of our operations.
